Is this good substrate for my Emperor scorpion?

I just replaced my scorpions substrate with a peat sphagnum moss mix with miracle grow plant food added. I got it from Walmart. It dosent have any insecticides as far as I know. And I doubt my emp will be eating any of the substrate any time soon. It retains moisture well and holds together better than my previous substrate of coconut husk. What are your guys opinion on this?
