Common Name: Rusty Thick Tail Scorpion
Babycurus jacksoni Bjacksonibrood3i4ib

Scientific Name: Babycurus jacksoni

Range: East Africa

Type: Terrestrial

Communal: Maybe

Adult Size: 4 inches

Temperature: 80-85 degrees

Humidity: 60%

Temperment: Semi Aggressive

Speed: Medium

Venom: Babycurus jacksoni 3826410325 Babycurus jacksoni 3826410325[2]

Diet: Young can eat pinhead crickets, small roaches,or mealworms. Adults can eat large crickets, roaches,or superworms.

Housing: Adults can be kept in medium critter keepers,2 gallon tank,or rubbermaid type container. Babys can be kept in small critter keepers or large deli cups.

Substrate: Peat moss or sand/soil/peat mix with rocks and hides.

Additional Info: Bark can also be added to the cage. Most seem to like hiding under it and occasionally clinging to the dark side of the bark. They seem to be very good climbers. In some places B. jacksoni is considered dangerous and others it's not. The buthid family has some deadly members so I would say B. jacksoni packs a punch but not deadly. Caution should be taken not to get stung.
